While trained formally as a Computer Scientist, receiving my Ph.D. in that field in 1973 specializing in computer security, and subsequently lecturing and conducting research as a professor at a number of Universities, my principal career work has been as a forensic computing specialist providing investigative and expert witness services. I am now semi retired and can devote more of my time to my avocations which include: history, particularly, the history of the enlightenment and industrial revolution.
