I'm a fourth-year doctoral candidate and instructor in the Department of English at the University of Illinois at Chicago. My dissertation, entitled “Befriending Lucifer: Constructing the Holocaust and Slavery Perpetrator in Neoliberal America,” concerns how representations of Holocaust and slavery perpetrators contribute to American socioeconomic discourses.

When I'm not teaching or attending class, I'm starting a needlepoint project, doing genealogical research, or working out at my athletic club. I live in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago with my husband Derek and our dogs, Bella and Choco.
