Digna Love grew up on the magnificent Caribbean island of St. Lucia. The food available to her consisted of the freshest fish, fruits, and vegetables. The rivers of St. Lucia are pure, and natural springs have the purest drinking water. Digna Love and her brothers cleared some land behind their home to grow corn that they would later roast and sell to their fellow villagers. In addition to corn, they also harvested coffee.
