I am researching the experiences of Stephen Crane(1871-1900) that inspired his writing.  My ultimate purpose is to create a historical megafiction novel that weaves his biographical information with his fiction to create a vivid picture of the man, the development of railroad, other industrial innovations, and his social activism through his fiction and poetry.  I am a Ph.D. student in 19h c literature, digital humanities, and creative writing.  I teach introductory level courses(composition I-II and Modern Fiction(2050) for dual credit at Southeast Community College.
