Doctoral candidate at Metropolitan State University with an expected graduation in the spring of 2014. My work for the Minnesota Historical Society is in field services, a role that MHS has had since 1916, and which I have filled since 2007. Field services means that I am involved in outreach to other nonprofits. The aim of outreach is to build capacity in partner organizations through dissemination of technical information needed to make intentional choices with limited resources, through construction of more robust networks for crowdsourcing solutions, and through increased access to financial resources to accomplish solutions determined from technical information and network examples.
