Skoda Rapid India: Skoda Rapid is looking to make some rapid strides in the Indian market. The Skoda Rapid India is all set to create a ruffle in the C+ segment and will be built from the scratch at Chakan plant in Pune. Skoda Auto India is introducing the 'Rapid' in India as an entry level Sedan. Official reports about the Skoda Rapid price have been still kept under wraps and is expected that the Skoda Rapid will be priced very competitively. The Skoda Rapid price starts at Rs. 700000 for the entry level petrol model and Rs. 800000 for the base model in the diesel version. The engines will be the same that currently powers the Volkswagen Vento. To keep Skoda Rapid price under control the Skoda Rapid India has a very basic design and build. The car will rub shoulders with the likes of Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna, Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Aveo, Fiat Linea and Tata Indigo Manza.
