I work primarily in the philosophy and history of evolutionary biology. Philosophically, I’m most interested in the conceptual structure of evolution by natural selection. Historically, I work on the reception of Darwin in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I’m also hard at work on the digital humanities and the ethics of emerging weapons technologies.
