I am an experienced bookseller specialising in out-of-print academic books especially literary criticism and theory. I have a degree in English Literature from the University of Sheffield. I also have an MA from the OU where my dissertation was on Ann Radcliffe, Gothic literature and reader response theory.

I have informally continued my research, not least to keep up with my bookbuying academic customers, and  pursue interests in genre fiction including Gothic literature, children's literature and reader response theories. I am working on an annotated bibliography of criticism of children's literature.
