Clayton Santos Guimarães

Clayton Santos Guimarães (1983). Brazilian, graduated in Portuguese Language and Literature at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (BR) in 2005. He has attended History and Philosophy programmes in order to pursue his object of inquiry: the relationship between Literature, Fiction and the writing of History. In Portugal, he attended the University of Porto (Arts, Literature, and Culture), the University of Évora (Contemporary Philosophy), Since 2010, he has been in University of Coimbra as student of the Phd program in "Advanced Studies in the Materialities of Literature".

 

His research focuses in the optical technology and its relation with new pratices of writing in Portugal in XIXth century.

 

He is member of Internacional Panorama Council, The Magic Lantern Society of the US and Canada (US/CA), Société des Amis de Victor Hugo (FR), Porto University Drama Research Center (PT), Centro de Estudos dos Oitocentos (BR), Sociedade Brasileira de Teoria e História da Historiografia (BR)
