I am a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature at UCLA. My dissertation studies the intersections between indigenous literature and Chinese and Sinophone migrant literatures in the Pacific. Froma settler colonial studies perspective, the dissertation investigates how the local political dynamics between ethnic minorities and indigenous minorities inform literary productions by both minority groups in both Sinophoen and Anglophone Pacific settler societies.
