Cass Dykeman

Cass is an Associate Professor of Counseling at Oregon State University. Cass received his master’s in Counseling from the University of Washington and his doctorate in Counseling from the University of Virginia.  Prior to his work in higher education, he worked as both an elementary school and high school counselor in Seattle. Dr. Dykeman has published two books and is in double-digits in both peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. In addition, he has received over 1.2 million in federally sponsored external funding in the area of career counseling in K-12 settings. His current research focuses on the impact of anxiety on academic performance.

Cass has served in the following professional roles: President- Washington Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, President- Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, Member- Journal for Counseling and Development Editorial Board, and Member- CACREP On-site Accreditation Team Member. In terms of professional certification, Cass possesses Washington State School Counselor certification.
