I am a graduate student at the University of Virginia studying the history of Buddhism in Tibet and China.  My research interests center around the Tibetan region of Amdo: Buddhist literature, regional history, women's history, modernity discourse, Buddhist-Muslim relations, and the ethnic diversity of Tibetan Buddhist institutions.
