I'm a historian of medieval medicine but I work extensively in the field of the history of medicine, broadly construed.  My research focuses on the use of medicine as a language of authority in religious and popular culture.  I'm also involved in the history of medicine/horror and dabble in postmodernist philosophy (egads!)
