I am a professor who lives in New Haven in a historical house on the National Historic Registry.  I have been active in LGBT causes for decades, and married my spouse, Pilar Stewart, in CT in 2009.  I teach Hebrew Bible, 19th and 20th century American Literature, LGBT Studies, and Judaic Studies at Southern Connecticut State University
