Functional management of a group of 7 statisticians responsible for all statistical aspects of drug development within assigned therapeutic areas.  This includes development and maintenance of excellence in design, analysis, and reporting, and the successful application of statistical expertise to all phases of drug development.  Contribution to the department's mission, objectives and strategic planning along with creation and use of departmental standards, processes, and tools for the design, execution, and reporting of clinical trials.  Responsible for the optimal development, allocation, and management of lead and study statisticians for my therapeutic areas.  As a Director I:
•    Participate in development of long-term departmental objectives and plans
•    Contribute to the creation and management of departmental budgets
•    Recruit, coach, develop, support, supervise, and retain statisticians
•    Manage and allocate resources and appraise performance
•    Provide leadership which inspires individuals to high-quality, timely, and compliant performance
•    Provide expert statistical input into development programs and guidance to my team in their application of cutting-edge statistical methods
•    Collaborate internally and externally to influence development of organizational best practices and ensure excellence in study and project teams
