I'm a first year Ph.D in English at the University of Notre Dame working on two projects currently: the first concerns early modern medicine and its impact on theological and devotional discourse in literature (e.g. John Donne, Anne Bradstreet, John Milton); the second is an exploration of how to use braid group theory to enable 'distant', diachronic readings of dialogue-heavy narratives (plays, folktales, etc.). Fluent in French and English, conversational in German, and happy to chat in any or all of those languages.
