A current graduate student in the dual-degree (Art History and Arts Administration and Policy) program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, my research delves into artist-responsive institutions, institutional history, new media resources for arts professionals, comparisons between the postmodern and postcolonial in contemporary art, video art, creative labor, and experimental music and sound installations. In addition, I am an independent curator and the co-founder of PROCESSPROJECTS, an on-line publication and archive presenting research, forums, and multi-media documentation of creative and cultural labor. When not hard at work I can be found in my kitchen with a glass of wine whipping up something tasty on the stove, watching films ranging from sophisticated to sophomoric, obsessively re-organizing my apartment, riding my bike, or dancing up a storm.
