Career Summary

 

 

 

Dr. Perez has seven years on materials selection and evaluation, asset integrity, fit for service, corrosion analysis and cathodic protection background for multiple offshore and onshore projects. He has developed and reviewed specifications and technical reports for the energy industry in reference to API, ASME, DNV and ISO Standards.  He has a PhD on Mechanical Engineering with a background in electrochemistry, statistical analysis, materials, corrosion analysis/management, fracture mechanics and asset integrity. He is a Member of API 17 group and Co-chair of API SCC 17U task group. He has recently co-author “Chapter 28 – New Steels and Corrosion Resistant Alloys” of book “Trends in Oil and Gas Corrosion Research and Technologies - 1st Edition.” Technical hardware specialist including, trees, pipelines, connectors, valves, flanges, induction bends, welding, fittings, coatings and umbilicals for material selection, corrosion analysis, cathodic protection. Prior experience includes teaching/research graduate assistant, technical sales and maintenance/inspection of industrial equipment.
