A few words on the jet propelled cleaners (both for residential and commercial) – those patented cleaners are driven by the same water pressure that is made by the pump motor used to filter the water to move through the filter device. This means that you have less moving parts, and very efficient cleaning devices. 

The pump and drive motor type – those have a drive motor to give a directional movement to the Aquabot and a Pump motor to vacuum the water from the bottom of the Aquabot, through the filtering device and the top outlet of the cleaner, and back into the pool as filtered water (all dirt and debris are trapped inside the filtering device).
