Antonio Pareja-Lora
I am a Lecturer (Profesor Colaborador) at the Departamento de Sistemas Informáticos y Computación (DSIC – Computer Systems and Computation Department) of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). I have got a six-year degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). I am also a researcher at a couple of research groups from UCM and UNED. I collaborated with the Ontology Engineering Group (OEG) of the UPM for more than eight years as well, in several European and national projects.
Recently, I became an expert of the ISO/TC 37 committee (standardisation of terminology, language resources and linguistic annotations) and Chair of AENOR’s AEN/CTN 191 (the national committee corresponding to ISO/TC 37).
My main research interests are (1) natural language processing, linguistic and/or ontological annotation; (2) the ontological representation of linguistic phenomena, data categories and relations; and (3) the standardisation of linguistic annotation, terminology and other language and content resources. Most of my recent research is summarised in the book "Providing Linked Linguistic and Semantic Web Annotations - The OntoTag Hybrid Annotation Model".
