Anne B. Zimmermann
I am a publications editor, co-editor of the inter- and transdisciplinary journal Mountain Research and Development (MRD), teacher of scientific writing and publishing, coordinator of career building for an international research programme, and from time to time translator (from French and German into English). I have been working at the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) since 1999. I've learned a great deal about sustainable development, natural resource management, integrative geography, North-South partnerships, and transdisciplinary approaches to research and development since I joined CDE and its dynamic staff. My PhD was in English literatures, with a post-colonial studies approach and a focus on negotiating cultural identity in literature. I'm currently interested in researching editorial journal strategies to promote research for sustainable development.
