I have always had a love of books. So much so that I have dedicated my professional life to them: I'm a librarian! But at one point, I realized that my love of books comes not simply from their content, but the materiality of the book itself and the historical context in which it was produced.

After working with the Rare Books and Special Collections Division at the Library of Congress and attending Rare Book School, I decided to continue my education and enroll in the Public History-MA program at American University. Here I have been gaining the tools I need to be a better historian (and librarian), with a greater understanding of how people use history in their everyday lives.
