Saeed Alzghari

Dr. Saeed Alzghari is currently the Director of Clinical Pharmacy at Gulfstream Diagnostics. Dr. Alzghari earned his Pharm.D. from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, an M.B.A. in Health Organization Management from Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business, an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Texas Christian University. He completed an oncology-focused post-doctoral pharmacy practice residency at Baylor Scott & White Health in conjunction with the University of Texas College of Pharmacy. He completed a teaching certificate from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy as well as a pharmacogenetics certificate through the University of Florida. He is also a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist. Dr. Alzghari is an author on over two dozen peer-reviewed publications, authored a white paper on pharmacogenetics, and wrote a book chapter on drug-induced nausea and vomiting. His work has been cited in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network ovarian cancer guidelines, the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer clinical guidelines for non-small cell lung cancer, as well as featured on F1000 Prime and MDLinx. He is an active member of the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) and the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP). His pharmacogenetic focus is in organizing and optimizing complex drug regimens, building relationships with patients and physicians on how to approach personalized therapies, and leading advances in medication therapy management to achieve precision medicine.
