Alison J. Head

I am a Principal Research Scientist in the Information School and a Faculty Associate at Harvard University's Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University. I direct Project Information Literacy (PIL), an ongoing national research study about college students in the digital age.

PIL researchers are currently working on a large-scale, two-year study about lifelong learning, funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Sciences (IMLS). The study investigates how recent college graduates find, evaluate, and use information for lifelong learning once they leave campus, particularly in areas such as staying competitive in the workforce, engaging in civic affairs, and personal development.
