Aida Izadpanah

In 2012 Aida Izadpanah earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Psychology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNYGC) with the dissertation: “Analysis of Multi-Media Representations of Children’s Experience of War by Humanitarian Organizations.” She also holds a Master’s in Urban Planning and a Bachelor’s in Theoretical Economics, both from the University of Tehran, in Iran.  Her book, Child, Play and City: Process, Principles and Criteria for Planning and Design of Children’s Play Spaces, was published in 2004 by the Shahrdariha Organization. She was a research associate with the Children’s Environment Research Group at CUNYGC from 2005-2012, and taught in the Children’s Studies Department at Brooklyn College from 2007-2009. Currently she works as an independent visual artist: aidaizadpanah.com.
