Aaron Slodounik teaches and writes about nineteenth-century European art and the history of photography. An early-career scholar, Aaron received his M.Phil from The Graduate Center of The City University of New York in 2015 and holds a fellowship at CUNY's Macaulay Honors College. He is currently writing a dissertation on Paul Gauguin and his literary circle, which he expects to complete in 2018. He has presented his research at national and international conferences, most recently at the 2016 Association of Art Historians Annual Confence in Edinburgh.
