A wild acafan approaches! 

I am an acafan or, if you prefer, a fan-scholar in training at the University of Southern California, Annenberg. My interests lie in fan studies of course, and lately I am looking at projects that take up cosplay and/or character creation, through the lens of race, gender and identity. I am happy to have the esteemed Henry Jenkins as my advisor. I did my MA at NYU Tisch's Department of Performance Studies where I was a greatful advisee of Karen Shimakawa.
