I am currently a full-time PhD student at the University of the West of Scotland, researching the use of user-centred design principles in the integration of web-based learning management systems (such as Moodle) with immersive virtual worlds (such as Second Life). I am also a part-time Research Assistant on the SLOODLE project (which is an extension of full-time work I did prior to my PhD).

My background in computer programming, with a BSc. Hons (1st class) in Computer Games Technology from the University of Paisley (which is now called University of the West of Scotland). In my spare time, I program various random things, mostly for educational purposes in Second Life. If you want to IM me in-world, my avatar is Pedro McMillan.
