I participate in active research projects on explanation, religion, and memory. I'm interested in free will, morality, and religion, using explanation as the tool to get at the human understanding of these things. I am generally interested in causality, as well as human cognition about it. Finally, I have a special place in my mind for evolution and the teaching of it, especially as this relates to explanation.

I am currently focusing on the prevalence of teleological explanations and how these relate more generally to religious explanations, exploring this space with memory tasks.
